The Rescue Diver prepares you to recognize dangers before they occur. Emergency situations require fast, coordinated and correct action, that's what the rescue diver is all about!
In theory, we talk about accident procedures, mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, stress & panic, finding a victim and much more. In the practical part, many of the exercises concentrate on the correct rescue of an injured person. From the approach to the victim, over the salvation, to the first aid on land we will go through everything. This course is very personal and is often only done with 1-2 pupil per dive instructor, to be sure that the participant acquires the necessary knowledge. The rescue diver is not only a title, but above all a responsibility to our dive partners. It should be acquired to help and not to decorate ourselfes with titles!
For the Rescue Diver you have to be at least Advanced Diver and 16 years old, it is the prerequisite for the first professional title in the series, the Divemaster.
Although it is not mandatory (for the divemaster it is!), we recommend the Rescue Diver to also acquired the two specialties of the first aid provider and the oxygen supplier in emergency situations. They round off your education as a savior and anyway are obligatory for the next step.
